The dreaded annual service made easier!
There's no doubt about it, having the car serviced and MOT'd is an annual (but necessary) chore, but the staff at Robins & Day, Peugeot Croydon make it as easy as they can for a poor old pensioner who finds technology a challenge. They (particularly Jo) kept me informed by mobile phone every step of the way throughout the day, gently advised me on whether or not the "advisory" work needed to be done immediately and helped me set up on my phone an interest-free payment plan. I do not have contact with the mechanics, but the car is always returned to me in good working order, and beautifully valeted.
My only criticism of the day is the location of the place - there really is nowhere to go in the Purley Way when you drop the car off early morning. I bought the car new in 2013 when the salesroom was conveniently in Clapham, then it moved to Old Kent Road, then to South Croydon and now Purley Way, each move further away from Central London where I live. And when I arrive at the Purley Way salesroom, there is an awful scrum to try to park the car in the overfull carpark. But the welcome and helpfulness from the staff make up for the frustrations.
